Hello!
My customer asked me why my Thaiphoon Burner software can't read SPD on his HP Probook 4530s laptop based on the Intel HM65 Express chipset. He also provided me a PCI device dump for some PCI devices. And I have found out that the SMBus controller is hidden in the PCI device list after device enumiration. I suspected that the SMBus controller can be enabled through LPC Bridge registers in the same manner as for platforms with an ICH family hub. Unfortunatelly, I didn't find any mention about enabling SMBus controler when looking throught the publicly available 6-chipset-c200-chipset-datasheet. Intel seems not to be interested in disclosing the trick of enabling the SMBus controller. I will be very appreciated if someone could help me on this. Below you will find the dump for the Northbridge and LPC Bridge of the Intel H65 Express chipset. Thanks a lot!
