M2M technology is on a fast-track growth curve to billions of devices by 2020 — according to multiple industry forecasts — but what will it take for the industry to reach that milestone? This will be the topic at the 2011 Connected World Conference starting June 15, 2011 where industry partners are converging to discuss opportunities and solutions to M2M challenges.

Together with other M2M solution providers, Intel (Booth #111, 113 just to the right as you come in the main door) is showcasing how its technology provides a foundation, available as a reference design for smart services development. Stop by Intel’s booth to see live ‘smart building’ demonstrations which translate simple workflows into cloud-based communications between devices. Another demonstration features customer applications where video and sensor data is streamed over 3G.
