As you may know, since April I have been working with the education team, with some emphasis in our activities in Latin America. The team has created web sites in English and Spanish to make it easy for potential buyers to understand our offerings to the educational market. I encourage you to visit both and let me know what you think. The URLs are: http://bitly.com/tiparaedu for the Spanish version and http://intel.ly/itforedu for the version in English.
Next week I will have the opportunity of attending an event in Panama, Central America, called Virtual Educa.
I have been in Panama a few times in the past, but only limited to the airport in my way to Sao Paulo, in Brasil. Virtual Educa is sponsored by the Organization of American States and it is hosted by a different country every year in the continent. It gathers high level decision makers such as Ministers of Education, corporations and non-profit organizations. Intel is the main corporate sponsor and we will have presence in several fronts: keynotes, classes and demos at our booth. We have a website in Spanish we created to explain our presence, its link is www.intel.com/virtualeduca. Oh, I forgot, if you come to the event, you will have a chance to enter to win one of three ultrabooks we will have at the event.
I invite you to visit our newly created web pages and if you are in Panama next week come and visit our booth, attend some of the classes, keynotes and enter to win!
I will report to all of you how it went and will be twitting real time any relevant news, follow me at @intel_marcos
