The ITU calls it the "Internet of Things." Intel calls it the "Embedded Internet." But no matter what name you give it, it's time to recognize the next stage of the Internet. We're swiftly entering an age of machines communicating with machines without human intervention. In just five years, there should be more connected devices than people on the planet. What does this mean for the embedded industry?
