Second Single-Board Computer according to PICMG 2.30 CompactPCI PlusIO Standard

    This single-board computer which has been developed on the basis of PICMG 2.30 PlusIO is a 32-bit system slot board with an Intel Core 2 Duo of the latest generation. The board is 100\% compatible with the current CompactPCI PICMG 2.0 standard and already uses the additional J2 pinout defined for PICMG 2.30 together with 3M's new high-speed connector.


    PICMG 2.30 defines an identical pin assignment with 1x SATA, USB, Ethernet and PCI Express for up to four peripheral slots. The new SBC F19P can control all four CompactPCI Plus peripheral boards, i.e. it supports 4x SATA, 4x USB und 4x PCI Express as well as 1x Gigabit Ethernet via the backplane. At the front panel the standard connections 2x Gigabit Ethernet, 2x USB and VGA are accessible. In traditional CompactPCI systems the 4HP board can also be extended by several side cards with a multitude of functions like DVI, audio, UARTs, additional USBs, FireWire, industrial Ethernet at the front and SATA onboard.


    The F19P uses several dual-core and Celeron processors up to the 64-bit SP9300 with 2.26 GHz combined with the GS45/ICH9M chipset. If low-voltage types with a power dissipation between 5.5 and 10 W are assembled and an accurately tailored heat sink is used, the board can be screened for the -40 bis +85°C temperature range. In order to meet the requirements of harsh environments, all components are soldered against shock and vibration and prepared for coating against dust and humidity.


    The F19P accommodates up to 8 GB DDR3 main memory and offers a CompactFlash or alternatively a microSD slot for the application. Having the latest technology on board and a minimum availability of 7 years, the universal single-board computer is well suited both for CompactPCI and CompactPCI Plus systems - or it links the parallel CompactPCI bus with the serial future of CompactPCI Plus in a hybrid solution.
