Machine Vision System is equipped with a vision sensor such as auto-focus camera to provide imaging-based automatic inspection and analysis. The system can be used in robotics and automated production line for quality assurance, improving productivity, improving automated technical inspection, gauging and measurement capability.

DFI’s Solution for Machine Vision System – DL310-C226

Today, machine vision systems are widely used in a variety of applications. A typical computer-based machine vision system includes cameras, a frame grabber card, and the computer system. By means of cameras and digital image processing software, machine vision systems play an important role in achieving the highest level of quality control in manufacturing, reducing costs, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. To meet the growing needs, DFI provides board-level and system-level solutions for machine vision application. The DL310-C226 powered by the Intel® Xeon® processors is one of the right board-level solutions. It is DFI’s first microATX embedded motherboard that supports the energy-efficient Intel® C226 express chipset. This new workstation-based board designed with 4 dual channel DDR3/DDR3L ECC DIMM sockets support up to 32GB for faster communication and system reliability through automatic data corrections. In order to provide better manageability and improved security, DL310-C226 also supports Intel® Active Management Technology 9.0 (iAMT9.0) and Intel® Trusted Module (optional). This microATX embedded motherboard takes full advantage of Intel® C226 express chipset: it not only runs faster, but offers higher performance via improved I/O. DL310-C226 provides 2 display outputs: 1 HDMI and 1 DVI-I, 2 LAN ports, 6 COM ports, 12 USB ports, 1 Parallel port, 6 SATA ports with RAID 0/1/5/10, and 8-bit Digital I/O connector for device controls. To fulfill the various demands of machine vision application, the expansion design of this new workstation platform also offers additional capabilities via multiple PCIe configurations, including 2 PCIe x16 slots (2 x8 signal), 1 PCIe x4 slot, and 1 PCIe x1 slot. Based on these expansive features as described above, the DL310-C226 becomes the ideal choice for any types of machine vision systems.
