How to read Bluetooth RSSI (received signal strength) value from eBMU PMB 8753/2

    Community Member

eBMU PMB 8753/2 is a bluetooth chip manufactured by Infineon, but now taken over by Intel. I had contacted online support forum of Infineon and they re-directed me to take help from Intel. Hence I am writing to this forum to get help.

We are using eBMU for Bluetooth connection. We are facing connection issues when the device is used for some time, say 1 or 2 days. If we get to know the RSSI value, then depending on it, we can decide if to proceed with connection or inform user in some way that since signal quality is not good, Bluetooth connection can not be established.

We know that we can set RSSI range (min and max value) during configuration by using AT+JCBD AT command. We have already done this and want to know how to read RSSI value. Is there any register which we can use to get RSSI? Or is there any other mechanism by which we can read RSSI value?

I have attached user manual of eBMU.

      Please help!
